> Find Your Birthday in Pi!

Have you ever seen a million of anything? Before you is nearly one million digits of pi. So many digits that it probably has your (5 or 6 digit) birthday in it somewhere! If you can find it, take one of the highlighters and highlight it (or any other number you find special).

Here’s how to check. There’s a website that will tell you where the number is in pi:

https://katiesteckles.co.uk/pisearch/

If that location is less than 1,000,000, you’re in luck! Your number is somewhere on this poster!

There are about 400 lines and line has 2500 digits. Do some arithmetic to see which row your number is on and roughly how far along the row your number is. Feel free to recruit help from one of our volunteers.

Once you’ve figured out which line and how far along, go hunting! There are some magnifying glasses to help.

Found it? Great! Use one of the highlighters to highlight your number!
